Poverty and the Rights of the Child This story was about how poor parents over in Ghana, West Africa were selling their children to fisherman for money. These children were from ages 3 to 14, there were mostly boys. The children were forced to go under water and put fish nets at the bottom of the rivers so that the fisherman could catch big fish. These children were totured because they barely ate and for their hard labor they were not piad. Some of them died because they drowned. I want to know: How old was the children that died? & Did the fisherman get arrested for doing this to children? & What did the government have to say about this kind of act?

poverty and the rights of the child ( ashley carroll) yeah that is sad, but as sad as it is that type of thing happen each and everyday. I ask the same question what are people and the goverment doing to help it stop? This not only happen in other parts of the world that are poor, but place like the united states where there have billions of dollars being wasted everyday on nothing, they even have a name for it, its called human triffing.

that is not right they was selling there kids for money because if my mom or dad sold me i would not no what to do or if i had to go to the bottom of the river to get fish and my parents did not care if i drowned i would be so scared and that is a shame i feel very bad.
